This first initial edits were massively for me to look at and get a basic understanding of how i want my short film to look. i felt like there was many issues with this for example the start of my production was a bit boring and the lighting wasn't the best, i can improve this by re filming this scene and doing it in the day. This will solve my issues with lighting as it will be more natural rather than street lights. I also felt like i wanted to use more voiceovers and better dialogue in certain scenes as the narrative of my production was not as clear as i needed it to be. My second edit was very similar to my first edit as i re-film the scenes i wanted to in time, however i plan on doing this and adding them to my final edit ready for submitting. With these edits i was just focusing on making sure there was no small editing errors and continuity issues like different clothing and different weather conditions and changes in light. for example a certain scene in my production is meant to be at midnight however it was filmed in the day, this wasnt too much of an issue as it was filmed inside however you can see its a lot more lighter than it should be.
In this final edit i made massive improvements to my production for example i re filmed the first scenes of my production and i did this in the day, this really helped me improve the lighting quality of my production and made what was happening a lot more clearer and easier to understand. I also added in some new voiceovers that really helped me show how i wanted my character to come across and be understood by the audience. This compared to my first initial edits really made it a lot easier to empathise with and made it a lot more entertaining and more professional. I feel like by doing this it helped me cut down unnecessary footage that i was using and helped me use the best footage that i had acquired. I also changed the end of the production from "too be continued" to a ending of my story. This defiantly helped me clarify how i wanted my production to end and it still left the story on a cliffhanger as the story could still go on.
